Lot clearing and site prep: We clear required areas of trees, vegetation, and topsoil so that the lot is ready for further excavation.
Basements: work from site blueprints to excavate area to the correct depth and dimensions required for the basement.
Back-fill of basement walls: After concrete work of basement walls and floors are completed, we bring in equipment to backfill the walls with the required materials.
Septic repairs and installations: We are a licensed septic installer in Elkhart County Indiana. We work closely with the county and a septic designer to install a system or repair an existing system to meet both the needs of the customer and the requirements of the county. Installation and repair require us to not only use excavation equipment but also quality supplies such as septic pipe, tanks, fittings, pumps, and stone.
Final Grading: Use machinery to bring the subsoil and topsoil back to the final grade desired once all other excavation on the site has been completed. This step may also require trucking in additional materials to assure that the grade is correct.
Installations of culverts and drain tiles: We use a laser to determine where the grade of a property is and where it should be to make sure that water flows away from buildings rather than towards them. To do this we use machinery to install drain tile. This process not only works when it comes to water flow around buildings but also for moving water from one area of ground to another. The concept is the same when installing a culvert along a road ditch where a driveway is crossing.
Stump removal: This is done after a tree has been taken down, but a stump remains. We use machinery to pull the stump out and remove it. We can haul the stump off the property, or we can simply move it to a different location on the property that the customer determines.
Driveway repair and installations: We work closely with the customer to select what type of material they want for their driveway. There are several options to choose from including recycled materials. We do not offer asphalt paving or poured concrete driveways. When installing a brand-new driveway, we remove vegetation and topsoil and install a larger sized base material to make sure that there is a solid base to drive on. Then we topcoat with a smaller material that will be easier to drive through than just the base material alone. We do all of this with machinery and dump trucks. When doing driveway repairs, we do some variation of these steps as well depending upon the individual situation.
